Fast, #NoWaste Agile Estimating for Remote Teams

Abstract: “If only Agile had a way to predict when things would be done…”

But the thing is, Agile does have a way to predict when things will be done. Even better... It’s easy. One product owner even said, “I didn’t know estimating could be FUN!” Well executed relative sizing plus velocity lets anyone march down the backlog and predict: “we’ll be about here on September 15th”, and ask, “do we have the right stuff above the line?” It’s not magic. (But it works like magic!) During this remote workshop, we’ll use a Miro (RealtimeBoard) simulation to practice estimating that works.

Creating Boundaries, Practicing Curiosity, and Making Requests

We don't always get to choose who we work with. We seldom get to choose the policies that affect us day to day. We do have the ability to request what we need, the ability to manage our own perceptions, and the ability to choose to act instead of reacting.

This session will lead you down a path towards recognizing where boundaries exist, how to manage your emotions when they're crossed, how to make space to help others when their emotions create unpleasant reactions, and teach you skills for making solid requests that get results.
